The deal, in plain words

1. Who you are agreeing with

"EQO", "we" and "us" mean the company operating tryeqo.com and the EQO applications. "You" means the person or organisation using them. These terms cover the Android app, the web client at app.tryeqo.com, the engine we deploy into your cloud account on your instruction, the channel relay, and this website.

2. What EQO is, and what it is not

EQO is software that runs an AI agent on your own infrastructure. It is not a managed service that holds your data, and for most modes we could not read your conversations if we wanted to — see the privacy page, which is part of this agreement.

It is not a lawyer, a doctor, an accountant or a financial adviser, and nothing it produces is professional advice.

3. Your infrastructure and your bill

When you connect a cloud account, you are authorising us to deploy and update an engine inside your account. That deployment is yours: you own it, you can inspect it, and you can delete it without asking us.

• Your relationship with your cloud provider is governed by their terms, not ours.
• Usage above their free allowances is billed by them, to you. We do not resell compute and we take no margin on it.
• Some capabilities — running generated code, semantic recall, queued and scheduled work, real-browser tasks — require their paid plan. That is their gate, not a plan we sell. Upgrade with them and the capability appears on your next handshake, with no payment to us.
• Because the engine lives in your account, you can modify or break it. If you do, we may be unable to support it, and quotas or checks inside it stop meaning anything.

4. The agent acts on your behalf

This is the clause that matters, so it is not buried.

When you tell EQO to send a message, book a ride, pay an invoice or reply to a thread, it acts with the authority you granted it through your own OAuth grants, your own accounts and your own device. Those actions are your actions. You are responsible for them as if you had performed them yourself.

• EQO asks before anything that spends money, sends something externally, or cannot be undone. Do not switch those confirmations off and then treat the result as our mistake.
• Large language models make errors that look fluent. Read the draft before you approve it.
• You must not point the agent at an account you are not entitled to use.

5. Acceptable use

Do not use EQO to:

• break the law, or help someone else break it;
• send bulk unsolicited messages, or automate impersonation of a real person;
• access accounts, devices or data you do not have permission to access;
• violate the terms of a service you connect it to — automation that a provider forbids is still forbidden when an agent does it;
• produce material that sexualises minors, incites violence, or harasses a specific person;
• attack, overload or probe our relay, our control plane or another customer's engine.

If a channel provider — WhatsApp, an SMS carrier, a mail host — suspends us over traffic from your account, we will suspend that channel for your account.

6. Screen control and the sideloaded build

The full Android build includes an accessibility service that can read and act on your screen. It is distributed from GitHub releases and this site rather than Google Play, permanently, because Play policy prohibits using the Accessibility API to autonomously plan and execute actions. The Play build does not contain it.

Installing the sideloaded build is your decision, you enable the service yourself, and you accept that an agent driving other apps on your device may act in ways you did not anticipate. Turn it off in Android settings at any time.

7. Connectors and third parties

App connections are made through Composio's managed OAuth. You grant each one, Composio holds the resulting token, and the target service's own terms govern what happens inside it. We are not responsible for a third-party service changing its API, its terms or its availability, and a connector breaking for that reason is not a failure of this agreement.

8. Channels

WhatsApp, SMS and email reach your engine through a relay we operate, because those networks only deliver to numbers and domains that belong to someone. Delivery, latency and availability on those networks are outside our control. Channel availability by plan is described in the app and may change with notice.

9. Plans, billing and cancellation

• The free plan is free, with no card required, and we do not intend to make it hostile later.
• Paid plans are billed in advance, monthly or annually, through Dodo Payments as merchant of record. Current prices are shown on the pricing section.
• Cancel at any time. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for, then stops. We do not pro-rate partial months.
• If something we operate was broken and you paid for it that month, write to us and we will refund it. That is a commitment, not a policy with a form.
• Price changes apply from your next renewal, and we will tell you before the renewal, not after it.
• Charges from your cloud provider are between you and them, and are not refundable by us.

10. Availability

We do not offer an uptime guarantee. We run the control plane and the relay carefully and will say so publicly when either is down. Note the asymmetry that the architecture gives you: if our control plane is offline, your engine keeps answering your app and your web client, because they talk to it directly. Only the relayed channels depend on us being up.

11. Open source and trademarks

The client and the engine are published under the Apache License 2.0. You may read, fork, modify and self-host them under that licence. The licence covers code; it does not grant rights to the EQO name, the logo, or tryeqo.com, and a fork must not present itself as the official EQO.

12. Suspension and termination

You can close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks section 5, that is charging back payments, or that is being used to attack the service, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

Termination ends our side: the channels stop, the control-plane row is deleted, the app stops signing in. It does not touch your engine, your database or your files, because those are in your account and were never ours to take away. If you want them gone, delete them there.

13. Warranty and liability

The service is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, and we do not warrant that an agent's output or action will be correct, complete or suitable for any decision you make on it.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, lost profits, lost business, or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

Charges incurred in your own cloud account are yours, including charges caused by a bug in our engine. We will help you investigate and, where it was our bug, we will say so plainly.

14. Changes to these terms

We will post changes here with a new date, and give notice in the app before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use EQO after that is acceptance. If you do not accept, close the account — your engine and your data stay where they are.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Chennai, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
